PORTLAND – A man who made national headlines when he took off his clothes to protest security measures at Portland International Airport may now be fined.
A judge acquitted John Brennan of criminal wrongdoing in connection with the April, 2012 incident.

Now the Transportation Security Administration is attempting to fine him $1,000 for breaking a federal rule stating that passengers cannot interfere with, assault, threaten or intimidate screeners.
Brennan will appeal the fine in court next Tuesday.
"This is the first time the TSA has followed through on assessing civil penalties for 'interference with screening' purely for nonviolent, non-obstructive protected expressive conduct," Brennan said in a press release.
