The streets of Kirkland were full of Irish pride Saturday morning, as a couple thousand runners took part in the second annual Shamrock Run.

The 5k started and ended at marina park, with the course winding its way through downtown Kirkland.

And the luck 'o the Irish was in downtown Seattle as well for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

Thousands of people lined 4th Avenue to listen to traditional bagpipes and watch Irish dancers.

Individuals and small groups of people were invited to march in the parade.

The announcer reminded parade-goers that everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, which is Sunday.
