BOISE -- Police say the 62-year-old husband of a woman found dead by strangulation in a south Boise home on Thursday likely killed her.
Bruce W. Macomb, 62, was arrested Friday after being released from a local hospital.
He's charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 58-year-old Beba Macomb.
Police cite evidence purported to show the 62-year-old man killed his 58-year-old wife via asphyxiation through strangulation.
Police found the body of Beba Macomb in the couple's home on the 1600 block of West Warren Street on Thursday at approximately 4:00 p.m. That's when officers were called to conduct a welfare check.
According to reports, before officers could knock on the door, Bruce Macomb left the house with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury to his neck.
Police say the injury was likely self-inflicted.
Macomb is currently in the Ada County Jail. He's expected in court early next week.
