FOREST GROVE, Ore. – A deputy was hurt Sunday night while responding to a domestic disturbance case between an off-duty Hillsboro officer and his wife, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said shots were fired around 8:30 p.m. at the house in the 1000 block of 37th Avenue. One of the deputies was wounded, but the injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.
Few details have been released on what investigators believe led up to the shooting.
The off-duty Hillsboro officer was arrested and booked on several charges. Names have not yet been released.
