A friend of the mother of the suspect in a shooting spree that left two victims dead at Clackamas Town Center mall gave KGW a hand-written note in which the mom apologized for her son's actions.
Tami Roberts wrote in the note:
"Tami Roberts wishes to express her shock and grief at the events at Clackamas Town City (sic) on Tuesday. She has no understanding or explanation for her son's behavior and request that her privacy be respected."
"She is very sad and wants everyone to know that she is so sorry what Jake did, it's so out of his character."
