OLYMPIA, Wash. -- If the bomb threats made to eight county courthouses in Washington state were supposed to be funny, Megan Brown wasn't laughing.
Brown, from Lacey, planned on getting married Thursday afternoon at the Thurston County Courthouse.
She was one of two Thurston County brides who had to put plans on hold when the courthouse was evacuated.
Investigators still do not know who made the threats to courthouse staffers in Thurston, Adams, Benton, Chelan, Clark, Columbia, Douglas and Pacific counties. No explosives were found at any of the locations.
Similar threats recently closed courthouses in Ohio and Nebraska. Investigators are trying to see if the Washington state threats are connected.
Megan Brown ended up getting married to her fiancé, Dalton Haden, Thursday night, but not at the courthouse. Thurston County District Court Judge Sam Meyer came to the couple's Lacey apartment to perform the ceremony.
"He saved the day," said Megan, whose last name is now Haden. "He's my superhero judge!"
