A suspicious item was detonated outside the FBI offices in downtown Seattle Monday morning.
The item was first spotted by security guards outside a building at 3rd and Seneca overnight. It was found on top of the metal grate that surrounds a sidewalk tree.
Immediately, police became concerned because the building houses FBI offices.
A bomb squad robot was used to detonate the item.
Agents and officers collected evidence from the scene after it was detonated.
Officials have not yet said what the item was, or whether it may have been an incendiary device.
