Northbound State Route 99 will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday between West Seattle Bridge and SODO.

The closure will affect football fans headed to see the Huskies on Saturday and the Seahawks on Sunday at CenturyLink Field. Both games start at 1 p.m. Fans coming from the south should consider leaving early to get there in time for kickoff.

SR 99 is closing so construction crews can finish work on a new stretch of road that opens for Monday morning's commute.

The new section of the highway will have three lanes with one designated for busses.
