BOISE --- Hazmat crews and officers were called to a west Boise neighborhood just before midnight Tuesday for a report of several possible explosive devices.
Ada County dispatchers say the call came from a neighborhood near Edna Street and West Pennfield Avenue in Boise. That's between Five Mile Road and Cloverdale Road, north of Ustick Road.
Dispatchers say officers found two home-made, chemical explosive devices at the scene. Afterward, the devices were somehow detonated. No word yet if police or hazmat crews set off the explosives at the scene, or if the devices went off on their own.
Emergency personnel spent the night trying to figure out what kind of chemicals were inside the bombs.
