RAINIER -- The Coast Guard was searching Tuesday morning for a man who fell off the stern of the Queen of the West sternwheeler about 1 a.m. when it was moored in Rainier.
The crew member was seen falling into the water, then once more before disappearing, according to the Coast Guard. A shirt that in a style that he would have been wearing was pulled from the water.
A search began for the man with Coast Guard and local sheriff's offices, then suspended until daybreak.
