BOISE -- The massive truck resembling a giant Idaho potato will take off on its seven month long trek across the country. The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck will visit trade shows, meet people, and raise money and awareness for the Meals on Wheels program.
Governor Otter will cut the ribbon on the big truck and start the potato's engine with a "great big key" Friday at 10 a.m.
The potato truck is sure to turn heads on its journey, after all, it is 28 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 11.5 feet tall.
The giant spectacle was modeled after a popular Idaho postcard.
