CALDWELL, Idaho -- One inmate is still at large after two inmates escaped from the Canyon County Detention Center Sunday morning.

Alberto I. Maldonado and Eric L. Dominguez were assigned as workers in the kitchen at the time of their escape. 

A short time after the escape, Maldonado was apprehended a few blocks from the jail. 

Dominguez is still at large. He was being held on three counts of felony injury to a child and a felony probation violation. 

He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’6” tall and 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  He has numerous tattoos, most notably one on the left side of his neck of a flower with the words, “Naomi, mi chinita.” 

Anyone with information concerning Dominguez’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office at (208)454-7531 or other local law enforcement.
