LINCOLN CITY -- The Sea Horse Oceanfront Resort was heavily damaged by high winds Tuesday morning.
Dispatchers got a call about 5 a.m. that the roof had been blown off by the wind.
A 500 foot portion of the roof ended up a block away to the east, said Captain Jim Kusz of North Lincoln Fire & Rescue District. The roof actually blew over power lines 40 feet in the air, he said.
In all, the motel lost an estimated 6,000 square feet of roofing. Debris was found two blocks away, Kusz said.
