President Barack Obama will visit Seattle on Tuesday to attend an event for the Democratic National Committee, the White House said Wednesday.
It's not clear if the president will travel to the Eastside and further snarl traffic expected to be a mess due to lane closures on Interstate 90. I-90 between Interstate 405 and Bellevue Way Southeast will be down to one lane around-the-clock next week.
The location of next week's event has not yet been released.
The White House says after the stop in Seattle, the President will travel to San Francisco, where he will stay overnight.
On Wednesday, July 23, the President will attend a DCCC event in the San Francisco area, and later in the day will travel to the Los Angeles area.
Obama's last visit to Washington was in April, when he flew over the Oso mudslide and met with emergency responders and family members of slide victims.
