A former NFL cheerleader has traded in her pom-poms for an assault rifle. Rachel Washburn is now a first lieutenant with the U.S. Army.
From 2007 to 2009 she was a cheerleader with the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Sunday she was honored by her former team for all her accomplishments off the field. Washburn has earned a bronze star during two tours in Afghanistan.
She said she is considering reenlisting next year.
