MIAMI (AP) — The long-awaited DNA exchange between ABC and Univision emerges from the test tube this month. The new English-language network Fusion aims to stretch the limits of traditional network programming with a mix of hard news, commentary, sports and irreverence on cable and online. It's aimed at Hispanic millennials, their BFFS and beyond, and will feature nightly news but also an animated puppet news and entertainment show by the former head writer of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." Think Comedy Central, Vice.com, ABC and Univision, all in one.
The network goes live Oct. 28. Among its talent: Univision veteran news anchor Jorge Ramos, popular Los Angeles-based newsman Leon Krauze and former HuffPost commentator Alicia Menendez, daughter of U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez.
