HOUSTON – A cranky kitty from Houston has become an internet sensation thanks to a wedding photo that went viral.

Danielle and Justin Foley tied the knot earlier this month in a small ceremony at his Rice Military townhome.

Their cat, Coco, skipped the ceremony and hid from the guests – until she got hungry. And cranky.

When the diva cat crept downstairs and demanded a meal, wedding photographer Luciana Justice saw an opportunity for some fun photos with her and the newlyweds.

Coco’s "cattitude" resulted in a priceless photo that captured the attention of Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Reddit and others.

The Foleys are getting a kick out of all the attention.

"The most beneficial part of this is being able to give a shout out to the no kill shelter Friends for Life where we got Coco," Danielle told Culture Map.

Coco, who was abandoned by her previous owner, spent two years at the shelter in the Heights before the Foleys adopted her.

A Friends for Life volunteer who saw the photos online said Coco was a favorite and they were thrilled to see she’s happy and healthy.

Justice says "it was a wedding I’ll never forget."

Coco was unavailable for comment, but we think she secretly enjoys her new-found feline fame. Or not.
