SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say a man was seriously wounded Friday night in a shooting in the city's Central District.
KING-TV reports the 30-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with what were described as life-threatening injuries.
Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel says a preliminary investigation indicates the victim was talking with friends in front of a residence when the gunman walked up, fired several times and then ran to a waiting, light-colored Mercedes.
A neighbor reports hearing multiple gunshots.
Kappel says officers don't know whether the gunman and victim knew each other but the shooting doesn't appear to be random.
