RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — Washington's new attorney general Bob Ferguson toured the Hanford nuclear reservation Wednesday for a first-hand look at clean-up operations.
Ferguson told KNDO (http://bit.ly/Y1baF3 ) the federal government is obligated to clean up the site in a timely manner, despite budget pressures.
He says he'll enforce the cleanup schedule in the Tri-Party Agreement between the state and federal agencies.
