SEATTLE (AP) — A man suspected of fatally shooting a teenage boy during a Federal Way house party in January 2010 has been arrested at the border between Mexico and San Diego.

The Seattle Times reports (http://is.gd/GSkWuG ) 24-year-old Edgar Daniel Sanchez entered the San Ysidro Port of Entry from Mexico at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Sanchez told officers that he wanted to turn himself in.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a fugitive warrant was active for Sanchez, listing his bail at $1 million. Sanchez was booked into the San Diego County Jail and is awaiting extradition.

Sanchez, who goes by the street name "Sharky," is accused of shooting Irving Plascencia in January 2010 during a fight over a woman.

Federal Way police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said two detectives were sent to San Diego on Friday to interview Sanchez.
