MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Police are looking for a man who firebombed a Marysville home early Friday and slashed a woman inside with a box cutter.
Police say the attacker had threatened the woman's boyfriend.
The woman recognized the man as her boyfriend's occasional employer when he approached the residence before 4 a.m.
Police say he threw a bottle through a window and it exploded, causing a piece of furniture to ignite. Occupants of the house put out the fire.
The attacker also slashed at the woman with a box cutter, causing a superficial wound on her stomach.
The boyfriend returned from a neighbor's house when he heard the commotion. Police say the man attempted to run down the boyfriend and sped off.
