LEAVENWORTH, Wash. (AP) — The owner of a back country ski and snowshoe resort was killed Sunday when he was buried by a large amount of snow that fell off a tree.
Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett identified the victim as 65-year-old Donald Hansen, owner of Scottish Lakes High Camp.
The sheriff told KPQ (http://bit.ly/YJKNyL ) Hansen's body was discovered by searchers Sunday night fairly close to the lodge. He had been reported missing by his wife who last saw him about 3 in the afternoon.
