YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Yakima County commissioners voted Tuesday to give up the county's half-interest in the Yakima Air Terminal and turn the whole operation over to the city of Yakima.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://bit.ly/YWXPLI ) the transfer ends 30 years of joint ownership.
Commissioners said single ownership is in the best interest of operating and developing the 825-acre airport. One commissioner called it a no-fault divorce.
