BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — A driver was thrown through the moonroof of his SUV and killed in a rollover accident Tuesday morning near Bellingham.
The Washington State Patrol says the 52-year-old Ferndale man was not wearing a seatbelt. His car went off an icy road and rolled at least once before landing in a shallow ditch.
The Bellingham Herald reports (http://bit.ly/10F0k9J ) police discovered the driver pinned under the car. He died at the scene.
The moonroof glass was shattered, but no other windows were broken and the doors remained closed.
