FORKS, Wash. (AP) — If you're trying to put a new roof on the library, it helps if your town is the setting for a popular book and movie series.

The Friends of Forks Library roof fund received a $100 donation from the Alexander County Friends of the Library in Taylorsville, N.C., which held a "Twilight" themed sleepover for teens.

Friends of Forks Library treasurer Ellen Matheny told the Peninsula Daily News (http://bit.ly/Upp40n ) the fund has received donations from all over the nation, thanks to the popularity of Stephenie Meyer's books.

The fund has raised $75,000 of its $175,000 goal. The remaining $600,000 for the roof and library renovation will come from a levy and timber tax revenue.
