EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A Snohomish County sheriff's deputy accused of theft has been fired.
The sheriff's office says James E. Hager was fired Jan. 2 for violating department policies.
The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/VRGX6V) Hager was charged in November in the theft of a wood stove and other property taken from a vacation property near Skykomish. He pleaded not guilty and has a court hearing scheduled in April.
