KENT, Wash. (AP) — A fire on an outside stairway trapped a second-floor resident at an apartment building early Thursday in Kent.
Firefighters rescued the resident by ladder and extinguished the fire.
The fire department says the fire was limited to the stairway and did not damage the interior of the building.
