TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A crowd of about 100 turned out Thursday night at a Puyallup (Pew-AL-up), Wash., cemetery to remember two slain boys and dedicate the graveyard's new bronze angel statue.

The statue at Woodbine Cemetery is meant to watch over the children buried there, among them Charlie and Braden Powell. Their father, Josh Powell, killed the boys and himself earlier this year.

KING-TV says the statue was dedicated on the third anniversary of the disappearance of the boys' mother, Susan Cox Powell.

She disappeared in Utah in December 2009. Records have shown that Utah investigators focused their attention primarily on her husband, Josh Powell.

The boys' grandfather, Chuck Cox, says the angel is for all families who have loved ones at the cemetery.
