SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — A distracted driver turned his vehicle into a group of pedestrians Monday evening in a Spokane Valley crosswalk.
A 19-year-old suffered a fractured shoulder and a 12-year-old was put in intensive care with a skull fracture.
KREM reports (http://is.gd/5cQ4fx) the 25-year-old driver told deputies he didn't see the people crossing the road because he was adjusting his radio. He was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
