SHORELINE, Wash. (AP) — A police officer accidentally shot himself in the rear end Thursday after helping serve a search warrant in the Shoreline area.
He's a Mercer Island officer assigned to a drug task force.
Mercer Island Cmdr. Leslie Burns told KING (http://is.gd/9UTzKj ) he was reaching for his holster when the gun fired.
He was treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
