SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane County sheriff's office is replacing its Crown Victoria police cars with Ford SUVs.

The department recently purchased nine of the four-wheel-drive vehicles for $32,000 each.

KREM reports (http://is.gd/izPYUC) there are 350 vehicles in the sheriff's fleet and they'll be gradually replaced with the new models. Ford is no longer making the Crown Victoria, which has been used by many police agencies.
