MONROE, Wash. (AP) — About 70 units were destroyed in a three-alarm early Thursday at Chain Link Storage in Monroe.
KOMO reports (http://is.gd/9kwOXK ) firefighters had to cut holes through the metal siding for their hoses. And, parts of the building had to be demolished to make sure the fire was out.
There are no reports of injuries. No word yet on the cause or a dollar estimate of the loss. The storage units held household belonging and inventory for businesses.
The stubborn fire burned for hours but firefighters prevented flames from reaching the office and caretaker's residence.
