LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Officials say a Louisville man who recently had a dispute over zoning codes shot and killed a neighbor and critically injured another person at a homeowners association meeting inside a church.
Police have charged 55-year-old Mahmoud Yousef Hindi with murder in the Thursday evening shooting.
Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Jo-Ann Farmer says the victim, 73-year-old David Merritt, was shot once in the head and died at the scene.

Hindi is also charged with assault and seven counts of wanton endangerment. He will be arraigned on the charges Saturday morning.
