UPDATE: Despite overnight power outages, it appeared power had been restored to the majority of Avista customers who were left in the dark Tuesday night.
As of 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, only about 227 people were still without power in Northeast Spokane. Two separate outages happened Tuesday after a car crashed into a pole.
SPOKANE, Wash. -- More than 6,000 people were without power on Tuesday night in Northeast Spokane.
The two separate outages were believed to be caused from a car that crashed into a pole. Avista said the outage is still under investigation.
Avista estimates power would be restored around midnight on Tuesday. Crews are on scene.
