WSU student in critical condition after falling from deck

PULLMAN, Wash. – A Washington State University student fell off a deck at an apartment building near Monroe Street and Northeast Michigan Street Friday night, according to Pullman Police.  

When police arrived, they found the student unconscious.

Witnesses told police Hopkins was drinking.

Police said he fell from the deck in the back of the duplex.

Nathan Hopkins, 18, of Davenport, was flown to Sacred Heart for a head injury after falling 11 feet. He was found unconscious.

Investigators said this is the third accidental fall like this they have investigated this semester.

Police determined it was an accident and there will be no criminal charges in this case.

Hopkins is currently listed in critical condition.
