PULLMAN, Wash. – Two Washington State University football players are facing assault charges, according to Pullman Police.
Officers arrested WSU linebacker Logan Tago on Monday on charges of second degree robbery and second degree assault.
Tago is accused of robbing and assaulting a fellow student back on June 4. The student told police he was walking near campus with a case of beer when he was attacked by a group of men. Police said the victim was able to identify one of the attackers as Tago. After months of investigating, Pullman police arrested Tago at the police station when he arrived for an interview with detectives.
Police are also recommending felony assault charges against WSU safety Shalom Luani.
Luani is accused of punching another student in the face outside a Pullman Domino’s Pizza back on August 24.
He is facing a charge of second degree felony assault. The case is now in the hands of Whitman County Prosecutors.
