PULLMAN, Wash --- A memorial took place in Pullman Thursday evening for a teen killed in a car-jacking on Monday.
Family and friends of Tim Reeves gathered in Conservation Park in Pullman, Washington Thursday to remember Reeves and try to find peace with his death.
They released balloons as the sun set to commemorate him. The balloons had prayers, well wishes and memories written on them.
Reeves was a high school senior who loved to play sports. His family said he was dependable and he was always there when he was needed. His brother, Tyler, spoke on behalf of the family and he said Tim was caring and selfless.
“He’s a really fun, outgoing kid, he was always trying to get somebody to smile around him. He could be having the absolutely most worst day of his whole entire life and he will see someone else having a terrible day and he will just try to make that person have a better day, he’ll make them smile, make them laugh,” said Tyler.
Reeves’ family said they appreciate all the support from the community, who has given an outpouring of support to the Reeves family.
Pullman High School is offering counseling to students who need someone to talk to. There were several area students there to share their condolences with the Reeves.
