Several people posted a photo on social media which he shows two men lynched and tied to a tree.

So far one upload of the post from Facebook user Lamont Williams, has received over 35,000 shares with some angry people calling for boycott of Call of Duty.

John Norman Junior shared it with the Verify team to confirm if the scene was real or not. WUSA9 researchers were able to track that still frame from the Facebook post to a video of a user playing the game on YouTube when the game just came out in early November.

Multiple clips of the game are uploaded, part two about twelve and a half minutes in the scene shows the two men hung from the tree and appearing on screen with dialogue between soldiers saying “Those are civilians. This a war crime” then they move on from the men without shooting.

The company behind Call of Duty, Sledgehammer Games creative director Bret Robbins spoke out in articles about the disturbing, violent scenes in the World War II video game saying in an interview to Mashable.com "Unfortunately, there was anti-Semitism," Robbins said. "There was racism. It's actually a very big part of our story, the fact that that stuff existed, it was real, and our characters deal with it” and saying atrocities were an unfortunate part of history, so game decided to “go there.”

So we can verify this graphic image is indeed a scene in the Call of Duty World War II video game.
