Suspect steals purse of parent waiting for Freeman student after fatal shooting

SPOKANE, Wash.— Spokane County Sheriff's Office has confirmed one of the suspected Freeman purse snatchers was arrested and is in jail. 

SCSO Detectives arrested 33-year-old Nicole Jensen on several felony charges.

Deputies said an overwhelming amount of tips poured in to detectives investigating this case and Jenson was identified as one of the suspects in the released pictures.  The second suspect was identified but has not been located at this time. 

According to a press release, Jensen was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for Identity Theft, Forgery, Possession of Stolen Property Second Degree, Third Degree Theft and an active Airway Heights warrant for Criminal Trespass First Degree. 

 

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who stole a purse from a worried parent’s vehicle during the Freeman High School shooting.

Officials said since the purse was stolen on Wednesday the suspect spent over $36,000 in fraudulent charges on the victim’s accounts.

Reports said the vehicle was parked on Highway 27 while the parent rushed to the high school to find their children after the incident.

Authorities reported the purse was stolen from the vehicle between 10:30 a.m. and noon.
