BOISE -- If your child doesn't have health insurance, help may be
available through the state.
Today begins the two-week open enrollment period for one of the
state-supported Children's Health Insurance Programs. It's called the
CHIP-B plan.
The program provides medical insurance coverage for children from
families with incomes between 150 percent and 185 percent of the federal
poverty level.
The program requires a monthly 15-dollar premium.
Some families may qualify for CHIP-A, which is more extensive but
requires a lower income level to qualify.
The CHIP B enrollment starts today. But it closes quickly on September
14th.
Applications are available online at idaho-health-dot-org. Or you can
call the Idaho Careline at two-one-one.
