Motorcycle riders badly hurt in Hwy. 2 crash

AIRWAY HEIGHTS -- Two people riding a motorcycle suffered "serious to critical" injuries in a head-on crash along Highway 2 in Airway Heights.

Emergency crews are at the scene of a motorcycle/SUV collision that occurred at Airway Heights Wednesday.
The motorcycle collided with an SUV at Highway 2 and Lucas Drive, just east of Hayford Road.
Keith A. Van Lear, 43, and 43-year-old Lisa A. Spicer, were the riders of a 2007 Harley Davidson and had to be transported to Sacred Heart Hospital for medical treatment.
Both were riders were wearing helmets.
Jill D. Link, 45, was the driver of the Jeep Cherokee.
Authorities say Link was heading north on Flint Road at Highway 2 and was attempting to make a left onto westbound Highway 2 when she hit Lear and Spicer who were travelling east on the highway.
Washington State Patrol said Link will be cited as she did not see the motorcycle.
