SPOKANE -- Authorities aren't sure what caused a fire near the intersection of Interstate 90 and Altamont on Tuesday.

Firefighters doused this small blaze just off the freeway Tuesday morning.
The small brush fire inflicted minimal damage but snarled traffic for eastbound I-90 commuters for a brief part of the morning.
The investigation into the fire continues.
