Poor use of gas lands man in hospital

SPOKANE -- A man suffered burns to his arms, hands and face when a fire started inside the apartment he was working in this afternoon.
It happened at a second-story unit of an apartment complex at 7 South Pittsburg, near the intersection of Pittsburg and Sprague just after 3:30 this afternoon.
He was taken to Deaconess Hospital for treatment.
Two other people working in the apartment at the time escaped without injury.

Fire investigators believe the men were working with gasoline while re-finishing a floor when the fire started.
The extent of damage to the building is unknown.
The Red Cross is assiting one person dispalced by the fire.
