The front of a pick-up truck is seen after it rolled and crashed into a power pole near Rathdrum, ID. The driver is seriously injured and the wreck knocked out power to 1,100 people in the Hayden area.
Idaho State Police say a truck lost control after 5 p.m. Tuesday and started rolling across the intersection near Ramsey and Boekel and ran into the power pole.
The driver is in serious condition.
The power pole started smoking and Kootenai Electric Company workers could not figure out the reason why when they came on scene.
Power was restored a few hours after the wreck for those Hayden customers.
