NEAR OLD TOWN, Idaho -- Bonner County fire officials responded to a residential fire along the 35,900 block of Highway 41 just after 6 a.m. that claimed the life of at least one person, authorities said on Friday.

As of 10:30 a.m. Bonner County Fire Dispatch said crews were still at the scene of the fire, which has been extinguished.

The house was located between Old Town and Blanchard.
