Stevens County, WA -- The Stevens County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting at a home located on the 4700 block of HWY-231 between Ford and Springdale.

Stevens Co. Sheriff investigators try to piece together what happened.

It happened around 11AM. Deputies identified the victim only as a 43-year old man. His name is being withheld until his family is properly notified. Deputies believe the shooting was accidental.

KREM 2 News talked to a neighbor who says their was a large gathering of people overnight with music. This morning she heard a gun go off. Deputies say the man was shot once in the chest. He died on scene. An autopsy is scheduled the first part of the week.
