A tip led police to arrest the Jeffrey Pounds, also known as the "Apologetic Robber", in Walla Walla on Tuesday.

Police say 31-year-old Jeffery Pounds was caught on tape robbing two clerks at gunpoint two weeks ago at the Zip Trip at 3rd and Altamont in East Spokane.

The clerks said he apologized throughout the robbery and only got away with $50.

A tip led police to arrest Pounds in Walla Walla on Tuesday.

Pounds told police his friend Norman Wyckoff put Pounds up to the robbery and gave him the gun.

Both Pounds and Wyckoff face first degree robbery charges.
