SPOKANE--Spring snow early Monday morning caused more than 20 wrecks across the Inland Northwest.

Jackknifed semi-trucks forced the Idaho State Police to close the 4th of July Pass on I-90 east of Coeur d'Alene from 6:45 a.m. to about 7:45 a.m.

The Washington State Patrol reported the worst spots near the Geiger Exit and the Highway 2 Exit along I-90 westbound in West Spokane County with at least three wrecks there. Firefighters had to cut a man out of his car in one of those collisions near the Highway 2 Exit around 6:30 a.m. No word on that man's injuries.

Other problem spots included Highway 195 south of Rosalia, WA where a semi was blocking the highway for about an hour around 5:30 a.m, Highway 395 near Dragoon Creek where a driver slid off the road, and Highway 195 near Steptoe where a semi rolled over.

A driver rolled his car over on Highway 395 near Chattaroy, WA around 6:30 a.m. and drivers near Athol, ID experienced near whiteout conditions between 5-7 a.m.

Collisions were also reported along Highway 902 near Medical Lake, WA, Third and Thor in East Spokane, and Garland and Monroe in North Spokane.

Most locations only saw about a half of an inch of snow fall on the ground, but that snow created very slippery driving conditions.

No snow is forecast for Tuesday with a high of 51.
