Teen injured in mysterious hit and run in Downtown Spokane

SPOKANE -- Police are asking for the public's help in solving a serious hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian downtown on Tuesday, March 18th.
A call came into the 911 center at about 1:30 am of an unconscious male on the sidewalk at Third and Washington.
Medics arrived on scene and, while treating the male, were approached by a witness who said the male was hit by a large brown sport utility vehicle. Medics then advised police the incident was a collision and officers responded to the hospital to talk with the 18-year-old victim.
The victim had no recollection of the event at that time. He did suffer numerous injuries, including several broken bones and a large laceration on his head.
Police are looking for anyone with information on this incident to assist in the investigation, particularly the witness that contacted medics on scene. They are asked to call Cpl. Dave Adams at (509) 835-4567.
