A nation's finger is on the trigger; gun sales rise

SPOKANE – Economic uncertainty and a potential change in the nation’s presidential administration are believed to be fueling the rise in guns sales in the city and throughout most of the country.

Gun sales across the country have risen 10 percent this year.
Robin Ball, the owner of Sharp Shooting Indoor Range and Gun Shop, said she saw a spike in sales during the Y2K panic, after the Sept. 11 attacks, Hurricane Katrina and now.
“We’ve seen it before, with the Clinton administration coming into power – saw just a huge spike in gun sales,” Ball said. “The platform (Democrats) typically supports stricter gun control.”
Firearm sales have risen 10 percent this year in the U.S.
